WHAT SAINTCARD IS
Saintcard is a website that uses AI to generate short Catholic prayers and matching patron saint images in response to an intention you write. It is offered "as is," for personal reflection. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or spiritual advice. It is not a substitute for the sacraments, pastoral guidance, or a relationship with a faith community.
ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not use Saintcard to:
- Submit intentions that target real people with harm (threats, curses, requests for someone's death or suffering). - Submit material that promotes hatred, sexual content involving minors, or other illegal content. - Attempt to break, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. - Misrepresent the AI-generated output as authoritative Catholic teaching, a private revelation, or the words of a saint.
We may remove content and block access to anyone who breaks these rules.
YOUR CONTENT
You keep ownership of the intention you type. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process it through the AI provider, store the resulting prayer and image, and show them back to you and to anyone you share the prayer link with. We will never sell your intentions or use them for advertising.
AI-GENERATED OUTPUT
The prayers and images Saintcard generates are produced by AI. They may contain errors, theological imprecision, or styling choices you disagree with. We do not warrant their accuracy or their alignment with any specific magisterial teaching. Treat the output as a draft, not a verdict.
DONATIONS
If you choose to donate via the buttons on the /support page, your payment is processed by Stripe under their terms. 20% of every donation will be transferred to a recognised Catholic charity (currently Catholic Charities USA). The remainder covers server costs and supports continued development.
Donations are not tax-deductible to you because we are not a 501(c)(3) organisation. The charity will issue its own receipt for the portion that reaches it.
Donations are final and non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment was charged in obvious error (duplicate, wrong amount), email fizzyparanoia@gmail.com within 30 days and we will refund.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use OpenRouter, Supabase, Vercel, and Stripe as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Saintcard is also subject to their terms when their parts of the stack are involved.
AVAILABILITY
We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not promise uptime. We may change features, limits, or pricing at any time. We may stop the service entirely.
DISCLAIMERS
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saintcard is provided "as is," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you, for any cause, will not exceed the donations you have given us in the prior twelve months, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country of Poland for residents of the EU, and the laws of the State of New York for users elsewhere, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of those jurisdictions.
CHANGES
We will update this page when our practices change and bump the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
