MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Patron of soldiers, police, protection, spiritual battle, fear.

Saint Michael the Archangel is a principal angelic figure in Scripture, named in the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation. He is depicted as the heavenly champion who leads God's armies against the forces of evil, casting Satan and the rebel angels out of heaven. This role established his identity as the great defender and protector of the Church. His name, meaning 'Who is like God?', is a declaration of God's supreme power. For Catholics, Saint Michael is a powerful intercessor invoked for protection in spiritual warfare, for courage in times of fear, and for the grace of a holy death. He is the patron saint of soldiers, police officers, and all who face evil.
A PRAYER TO MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Almighty and eternal God, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, we ask for your protection. Grant us strength in spiritual battle, courage in the face of fear, and deliverance from every evil. May his defense guard us in life and at the hour of our death. We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
